What this is

OctoCook and OctoCash are privately run apps, provided free of charge and without commercial interest. By using them you accept these terms.

Access

Access works through a Google account and requires an invite. There is no open sign-up. Keeping your Google credentials safe is up to you, and you are responsible for what happens under your account.

The apps are meant for adults. They are not intended for children.

Your content

The recipes, transactions and everything else you create stay yours. We claim no rights to them and do not mine them. They are stored and displayed so the apps work; inside a household, the other members see them too.

Unlawful content, and content you hold no rights to, are not allowed.

What not to do

No attempts to reach other people's accounts or households, no automated bulk querying, no circumventing access controls, nothing that disrupts the service.

Availability

There is no guarantee of availability. The apps run on a single server, are maintained in spare time, and may break, change or be discontinued at any time. Keep your own copy of anything you depend on. OctoCash is not financial or tax advice.

Liability

Liability for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health, follows the statutory rules. Otherwise liability is excluded as far as the law permits. Because use is free of charge, the standard of § 521 BGB applies accordingly.

Ending it

You can have your account deleted at any time. We may suspend access if these terms are broken, or if the service is shut down.

Changes and governing law

These terms may change; the date above shows the current version. German law applies.
